Garlic Hydrosol is a liquid which is extracted from garlic. It is obtained from steam distillation of fresh garlic cloves. It physically appears as colorless to slight cloudy liquid with a specific gravity of 0.98 to 1.02 at 25 degree Celsius. The aroma is not very pleasing as the odor is pungent due to its spicy nature. Garlic hydrosol is also known as garlic water and is insoluble in oils but soluble in water and alcohol. It is used to fight bacteria and virus because of its antioxidant and anti bacterial properties. It helps to treat diseases, like common cold, cough, bronchitis etc.
