Since ancient times, the Mediterranean region has been abundantly cultivated to produce our Laurel Leaf Oil. Laurence is an evergreen and conical tree with yellow, star-shaped, and small blossoms that open to reveal black, meaty berries at the end of the season. The dark-green, silky, and intensely scented leaves serve as the raw material from which the essential oil is extracted and distilled. The commercially available Laurel Leaf Oil has a grassy, woody aroma with a hint of eucalyptus. When you smell cajeput, you'll recognize the slightly spicy character.
